Geoff has spent many years working with children who face an array of issues. These include, Looked After Children (children in care), the Youth Offending Team (Yot), Hospital Schools, Adoption Services and Social Services’ Children & Families Team. All children’s and young people’s sessions are sensitively approached and take place in a non-threatening environment. Each session would include the presence of an adult (parent, guardian or carer) with whom the child feels comfortable. Older children may opt to receive counselling in confidence on a one to one basis, but this would only be with consent from a parent, guardian or carer. Quietly and reassuringly, Geoff works with the child to bring a gentle yet effective resolution to any issues, concerns or problems that the child is experiencing. Some of the issues that children can experience are: - School attendance issues
- Authority issues
- Behavioural difficulties
- Sleep pattern problems & Nightmares
- Phobias
- Stress-Associated Bedwetting
- Eating disorders
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Depression
- Bereavement
- Abuse related issues
Geoff offers Court Report services and is happy to provide written assessment of cases where legally required.
